About the RAL colour system
The RAL colour system was created in Germany in 1927 to give manufacturers, designers and customers a dependable way to specify colour without exchanging physical samples every time. The original collection contained 40 colours; today, RAL Classic contains 216 established shades widely used across architecture, manufacturing, transport and fabrication.
For projects requiring a broader and more precisely organised palette, RAL Design System plus contains 1,825 colours arranged by hue, lightness and chroma.

What is the difference between RAL Classic and RAL Design
RAL Classic contains 216 established colours identified by four-digit codes. RAL Design System plus contains 1,825 systematically arranged colours identified by seven-digit codes.
How do I find the correct RAL colour code?
Check the product, specification or an official RAL colour chart for the required code. Always order using the colour code rather than relying solely on a colour name.
Will the colour shown on my screen match the finished paint?

How much RAL paint will I need?
