Today, Fired Earth has grown to become a leading authority on colour and pattern, and one of the most popular creators and suppliers of high-quality interior paints in the country. Fired Earth has humble beginnings that started in the early 1980s in an Oxfordshire farmyard, where they sold terracotta floor tiles that were at that time relatively unknown to the British public and not widely available in tile shops. Despite this, their tiles quickly became popular among customers and Fired Earth opened a small London showroom.
Initially, the company only sold only six different types of tiles. Customers soon began requesting glazed wall tiles to complement their terracotta floors, prompting Fired Earth to source a small selection of glazed tiles and create a brochure to showcase their entire offering.
As the demand for their tiles continued to grow, Fired Earth expanded, and by the mid-1990s the company had several showrooms across London. More recently, Fired Earth has expanded its range to include interior paints in a huge selection of shades and colours.
