Fluorescent Colours
If you are after an actual Luminous Colour please note this is a process not just a colour that requires both a White Primer sold here as WP500 Undercoat as well as an Over Clear or Clear Lacquer Protector sold here as Ultra Clear Lacquer 500.
Luminous Colours only come in 2K, Poly Synthetic or Cellulose their is no QAD Enamel versions available. Luminous are Bright so they ONLY come in Gloss, as you cannot have a ‘Matt Luminous’ Colour – this would mean a ‘dull bright’ colour which makes no sense! You can however put a lower sheen overclear after the colour and in this way lessen the brightness, however best to choose another colour that is not as bright.

Fluorescent Colours
In the design industry, fluorescent and luminous paints find applications in various fields. From fashion and textiles to interior design and product development, these paints offer endless possibilities. They are used to create attention-grabbing signage, posters, and advertisements, making them highly effective for marketing and promotional campaigns.
Safety and Security Applications
In a world filled with vibrant colours and creative expressions, fluorescent paints have carved their own distinctive niche. These paints possess a remarkable ability to emit light, transforming ordinary objects into eye-catching masterpieces. Whether in artistic endeavours, safety applications, or innovative design, fluorescent paints captivate our imagination with their brilliance.
Fluorescent owe their unique characteristics to specialized pigments and additives. Fluorescent paints contain pigments that absorb ultraviolet (UV) light and re-emit it in the visible spectrum. These pigments utilize a phenomenon called fluorescence, where absorbed energy is released in the form of light. Luminous paints, on the other hand, incorporate phosphorescent pigments that absorb and store energy from a light source and emit it slowly over time, even in the absence of an active light source.
The radiant properties of fluorescent have proven invaluable in enhancing safety and security measures. Fluorescent paints are extensively used for marking and highlighting hazards in industrial settings. They ensure clear visibility of safety signs, exit routes, and equipment even in low-light conditions. Additionally, fluorescent paints find application in the automotive industry, enhancing visibility and reducing the risk of accidents by making vehicles more noticeable on the road.
Fluorescent paints have emerged as a fascinating avenue for artistic expression, safety enhancement, and immersive experiences. Their ability to emit radiant light and captivating colours has transformed the way we perceive and interact with our environment.
